About Lori

Lori is a New York State, ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has been providing pediatric evaluation and intervention services for over 20 years with great success. Lori graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Science and she obtained her M.S. from Long Island University- Brooklyn campus in 1999 with a minor in Spanish. Lori gained her early experience at United Cerebral Palsy in Roosevelt, New York with children and adults, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayshore, New York, and Schneider Early Childhood Development Program in New Hyde Park, New York. She was a supervisor and a faculty appointee at the Westchester Institute of Human Development for several years in the Speech and Hearing department. She has been published and completed a post-graduate fellowship at WIHD.

In addition to her full-time work, Lori began doing homecare within the community over 15 years ago. She provided Early Intervention and Preschool services through various accredited agencies in addition to her private therapy clients. She now provides private speech, language, and feeding evaluation and therapy for children of all ages in her own private practice. Huntington Speech & Feeding is also a Suffolk County Preschool Agency serving eligible preschoolers ages 3-5 years for speech services.

Lori’s philosophy is to achieve goals while building a child’s confidence and her desire is to empower and educate parents in the process. Family training is an integral part of the therapy process therefore caregivers are heavily involved in their child’s program. Lori recognizes that every child is unique. She provides services that are tailored to each child’s strengths, challenges, and motivations. Therapy is fun and motivating at all times!!

Lori also does Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) via a contract with your school district and/or privately.
